- Description
- A chest of drawers from the Rock Rest Tourist Home. The four tier chest of drawers is primarily constructed from wood with a reddish brown finish and has eight, matching brass oval drop swing handles on the drawer fronts. The top tier has two small, equal sized drawers; each with a center handle. The other three tiers have a single, elongated drawer with handles on each side. The drawer fronts are plain. The drawer divider between the first and second tiers features a carved band of small circles. The other three dividers are plain with raised edges on the top and bottom. The side panels are plain and framed on either side with the squared front and back posts. The front edge of the two front posts are fluted. At the front bottom is a cupid's bow apron. The back of the cabinet is plain and the back panel is held in place with wood nails. The chest has straight bracket feet.
