The chair itself, has a broad back and broad, flat armrests. The chair back has seven, narrow, flat, center slats that attach to the top rail. The top rail is wide and curved along the top edge. The chair frame and slats curve inwards towards the bottom to provide lumbar support. The chair frame has wide, flat armrests, supported by three, vertical, wide flat slats. There is a wide, plain apron below the chair seat. The cushion support is a single wide piece of unfinished wood that extends from the front center of the chair to the center of the back rest.
