- Description
- A hardcover edition of New England in Color: a Collection of Color Photographs by Samuel Chamberlain and Stewart Beach. The paperboard-bound hardcover has an adhesive binding. The dust jacket features a color photograph of an idyllic rural scene. Three houses are in the background and in the foreground is a body of water. Lobster traps and lobster trap buoys piled on a dock by a moored boat. There are trees and a wooden fence in front of two of the houses. In the bottom right corner, are the authors names printed in black text that reads [Samuel Chamberlain / and Stewart Beach]. The spine of the jacket is black with red and white text including authors' last names and the abbreviated book title: [CHAMBERLAIN AND BEACH NEW ENGLAND IN COLOR]. The publisher, [HASTINGS HOUSE], is printed at the bottom of the spine in white text. The back of the dust jacket features a full-size, color photograph of a brick red house on a grassy lawn, with a stone fence. A large tree that dominates the left side of the image and there is a line of trees in the background. The front and back covers are avocado green. At the center of the front cover is the abbreviated book title, [NEW ENGLAND IN COLOR], printed in black text. Printed black text on the spine reads: [CHAMBERLAIN AND BEACH NEW ENGLAND IN COLOR HASTINGS HOUSE]. Pages 1-32 are white with black text and pages 33-95 are printed color plates. The book has ninety-four pages and color photographs.
