Description
A third edition, soft cover textbook titled, Slide Rule: How to Use It (Barnes & Noble Everyday Handbooks Series #254), by Calvin C. Bishop. The soft cover book has glossy front and back paper covers. The book’s front cover is gray and features a black-and-white illustration of a slide rule extending diagonally from the bottom left corner towards the center of the cover. The slide rule is framed on two sides by red lines. Small black text at the top of the front cover reads [254 ? EVERYDAY HANDBOOK SERIES ? $1.00]. The title is printed in white and black text of varying sizes across the top third of the front cover: [SLIDE RULE / HOW TO USE IT / EXAMPLES / PROBLEMS/ ANSWERS]. In the bottom right corner is the author’s and publisher’s names written in black text that reads [by Calvin C. Bishop / BARNES & NOBLE, Inc.]. The abbreviated title and author’s last name are printed in black and white text along the spine. The interior pages are white with black text. Opposite the title page is a two paragraph biography of the author. Contents include black-and-white mathematical diagrams, equations, and lessons and explanations of how to use the slide rule. The book has 149 pages.
