Description
An Ebony magazine, August 1965 Special Issue, featuring the cover article, “The White Problem in America,” Vol. XX No. 10. The front cover features a white illustration of a man’s profile facing the left edge of the magazine, set against a black background. The main cover line is printed in white text along the white edge of the magazine that reads [The / WHITE / Problem / In America]. In the upper left corner is the publication mast head, a red banner with white block lettering that reads: [EBONY]. Above the mast head is black text that reads [A JOHNSON PUBLICATION 6[encircled]]. In the lower left corner, in white text, is the publication date and price: [SPECIAL ISSUE / AUGUST 1965 / USA 50¢]. The bottom right of the front cover has a white address label sticker with black type. The back cover of the magazine features a full sized color advertisement for Camel cigarettes. There are one hundred and seventy-eight (178) interior pages with color and black-and-white images, illustrations, and text.
