- Description
- A black-and-white photograph of a group of people socializing on a grassy hillside. A large group of twenty-three men and women are sitting and standing with their backs to the viewer. A group of six people on the far left are seated in the grass. Two women in white dresses, one patterned and one plain, stand above the seated group, conversing with them. Behind the two women is a larger group of people standing in a loose group, socializing with each other. At the center of the group is a man standing with his back to the viewer. His body is partially turn and the profile of his face is visible. He wears medium-toned pants and a long sleeve, white collared shirt. One woman on the far right is wrapped in a crocheted granny square blanket. There is tall brush in the foreground. In the background is a large plume of smoke that emanates from the center of the image and over the lake in the right background. In the distant background are tree-covered hills. The photograph has a thick white frame. The verso is plain white with a blank ink stamp in the bottom right corner that reads [5[---?]].
