- A gelatin silver print of (left to right) Nina Simone, Michael Pollard, and Janis Joplin backstage at the Fillmore East. Simone wears a light colored knit dress with braided straps and a jeweled headdress on her brow, Pollard wears a dark jacket and a scarf, and Joplin wears a large white fuzzy hat with dark colored garments and long beaded necklaces. Simone and Pollard are looking towards the camera and smiling; Joplin is looking down towards a paper cup she holds in her proper left hand. They stand in front of a dark colored wall with multiple posters and fliers tacked up. There are no inscriptions front or back. On the verso center is the photographer's stamp in blue ink: [CHARLES STEWART / Photography / 136 West 44th ST. / NEW YORK, N.Y. 10036].
