- Description
- A 45 rpm EP recorded by Nina Simone and released in the Netherlands by Philips Records in 1965. This record has "I Loves You, Porgy" and "Mississippi Goddam" on the A-side, and "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" and "I Put a Spell On You" on the B-side. The album cover features a black and white image of Simone singing at a piano against an orange background with large white text reading [NINA / SIMONE] at the top and smaller white text reading [I LOVES YOU, PORGY / MISSISSIPPI GODDAM / DON'T LET ME BE / MISUNDERSTOOD / I PUT A SPELL ON YOU] at center right, across the piano. The black and silver Philips Records logo is at the top right corner and [452 046 / PHILIPS] is at the bottom left. The back of the album cover has black printed text over a white background and has the song and credit info as well as advertisements for four other Philips Records releases across the bottom. At the very bottom left is [Cover photo: Frits van Swoll] and at bottom right is [Printed in Holland]. The vinyl record has a blue label with silver text on each side.
