- Howard University history professor emeritus Dr. Chancellor Williams waits his turn to speak at the Ujiama School about the Humphrey-Hawkins Bill and the 25th anniversary of Brown vs. the Board of Education. Williams, an internationally recognized scholar, is the author of The Raven, And If I Were White, Have You Been to the River?, The Second Agreement with Hell, The Rebirth of African Civilization, and The Destruction of Black Civilization: Great Issues of Race, 4500 B.C. to 2000 A.D. I first met Dr. Williams through my sister, Marian A. Williams, when she was his student. I also knew him though my friend and fellow photographer, Oggie Ogburn, who went with Dr. Williams on his speaking trips to various U.S. cities. Since Dr. Williams was blind, Oggie would serve as his ‘eyes’ on these trips. Over a period of time, I got to know Dr. Williams more personally. We used to call him the ‘Mighty Doctor.’ May 17, 1979.
