Willis, Russell Sugarman, Benjamin Hooks, Odell Horton, Patrolman Martin, Lt. Tim McCarver, Detective Tony Lowell, and Deputy City Attorney Art Shay. The protestors were represented by the legal staff of the Memphis branch of the NAACP.
