- Description
- A 48 page 1921 Booker T. Washington High School, Tulsa OK School yearbook. There is no binding and the pages are very brittle, stained and torn. The front cover is printed in black ink on brown paper. Within a geometric border with square corners is [Booker T. Washington / High School / Tulsa, Oklahoma]. At center is a graphic reading [EXCELSIOR / 1921] within a border of leaves. There is an illegible signature at bottom right. The first page features a photograph of the main building of the school and the following pages include portraits of graduating seniors, class history, class poem, course of study, faculty portraits, student clubs and organizations, and portraits of the junior, sophomore, and freshmen classes. The final pages have advertisements for local businesses. The top row of the faculty page includes the following, as identified by Julius Pegues: Horace Hughes, 2nd from the left; Seymour Williams, 6th from the left; and J.T. H. West, 7th from the left.
