- Description
- A black-and-white photograph of three buildings with the addresses 122, 124, and 126 N. 3rd Street in Clarksville, Tennessee. The building on the left is called the “Burt Building,” the first concrete building in Clarksville. Outside of the Burt Building are two signs. The most top one with white text reads [DR. JEFFERSON / DENTIST] and the sign below in reads [DOCTOR / ROBT. T. BURT]. At the top middle window of the Burt Building is a man looking down the street. Next to the Burt Building is a building with seven windows and a door. The building at the end of the block has no doors or windows facing the street. Along the right edge of the photograph is a sliver of Clarksville’s First Presbyterian Church. The photograph has a typed caption below the image [“BURT BUILDING” / 122, 124 & 126 / N. 3RD St.”]. To the right, handwritten in graphite, is [Clarksville Tenn]. The photograph is backed with cardboard.
