- A fading deep purple-reddish brown carte-de-visite of A. G. Cowery by J. H. Emerson in Keokuk, Iowa. The full-length portrait captures Lowery wearing a three-piece suit and rests his hand on the base of a column with a drape pulled back behind him. The photograph is on a rectangular mat frame and backing. On the front bottom margin of the photograph is a handwritten inscription [A. G. Cowery].
