- A cabinet card photograph of Emma Alice Townsend by R. E. Hearn photography in Nashville, Tennessee. She wears a lace collar with a large medallion at her throat. Her dress demonstrates a corseted waist with billowing sleeves that gather at the forearm. At bottom is the information for the R. E. Hearn photography studio. The reverse has studio advertisements and handwritten inscription [Alice A. Townsend / Winchester / Houston / Singleton]. Emma Alice Townsend was sometimes referred to as Alice Townsend and one of her brothers was Samuel Houston Singleton.
