- Description
- A promotional photographic postcard of composer Samuel Coleridge-Taylor. Coleridge-Taylor is depicted in front of a dark background, wearing a dark suit, and looking directly at the camera with his face resting against his proper right hand. At the bottom right corner is a facsimile inscription and signature. At lower left is the number [24]. The reverse of the postcard has an inscription handwritten in black ink that reads "Coleridge-Taylor was born in Holborn, but as a boy he lived at Croydon, where he was for several years solo boy in the parish church choir." The inscription is written vertically. Printed horizontally is a stamp box at upper right that reads [Printed / in / Germany], followed by blank address lines. At center is printed [Breitkopf & Härtel, 54 Great Marlborough Street London W].
