Description
An envelope (a) with enclosed letter (b) sent to midwife Amanda Carey Carter from an expectant mother regarding Carter potentially attending a birth at the woman's home. The letter is handwritten in blue ink on a single sheet of white paper, folded to form two joined pages. At top right of the first page is the date [Aug 10, 1972] and the letter begins [Dear Mrs. Carter, / Thanks so much for your letter. / I have another request to make of / you.].
