Description
A black-and-white photograph print of the photographer, H.C. Anderson, with others in front of the U.S. Capitol building, captured while Congress debated the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The group stands in the foreground with the U.S. Capitol behind them. Anderson is at the far left. Many of the individuals have their bodies turned to the right of frame, and rest their hand on the shoulder of the person adjacent to them.
