- Description
- A color photograph of the Opening Ceremonies of the Olympics in Rome in 1960. In the center of the image is a large track and field filled with uniformed people wearing white pants and dark jackets. Surrounding the track are stands filled with spectators. In the background at the top forth is a large hill covered in trees. Along the bottom, below the image, are the Olympic logo, title, and date. The logo is in the lower left corner is a black graphic and features the Olympic rings capped with a statue of the Capitoline Wolf and the date in Roman numerals. The image is bordered by a white edge that is thicker along the bottom.
