N.J./SENATE RESOLUTION/By Senator COSTA/WHEREAS, Six dedicated current and former residents of Burlington County are being honored as/the newest members of the Burlington County Track and Field Hall of Fame; and,/WHEREAS, All of the 1986 inductees, who have demonstrated the finest qualities of skill and effort/within the sport of Track and Field, are recognized for their many years of dedication to their/sport; and,/WHEREAS, Carl Lewis of Willingboro is hailed as a 1984 Olympic Champion and winner of four/gold medals and as a recipient of the Sullivan award; and,/WHEREAS, Bill Lewis of Willingboro has been recognized for his considerable contributions to Track/and Field, as a recently inducted member of the Tuskegee Hall of Fame and as the father of/Olympic Champion Carl Lewis; and,/WHEREAS, Warren Martin of Cinnaminson is highly regarded for his vital role in the revival of the/sport of Track and Field; and,/WHEREAS, Kathy Christman Brady, only the second woman to be inducted, a former member of/the Burlington County community and now a resident of California, Don Danser of Rancocas/Valley and Erick Rucker of Willingboro have all been chosen for their brilliant achievements/in Track and Field; and,/WHEREAS, Two current members of the Burlington Track and Field Hall of Fame who merit especial/mention are Evelyn Lewis, the first woman to be inducted into the Hall of Fame and the/mother of Champion Carl Lewis, and William "Mackie" Lewis, Carl's brother; and,/WHEREAS, These six exceptional athletes, coaches and outstanding supporters of Track and Field/will be inducted into the Burlington Hall of Fame on May 13, 1986 at Nero's Woodbine Inn/in Pennsauken; now, therefore,/Be It Resolved by the Senate of the State of New Jersey:/That this House hereby honors and congratulates the newest members of the Burlington County/Track and Field Hall of Fame, commends their exemplary determination, dedication and commit-/ment to excellence, and extends its best wishes for their continued success in all future endeavors; and,/Be It Further Resolved, That a duly authenticated copy of this resolution, signed by the/President and attested by the Secretary, be transmitted to the Burlington County Track and Field/Hall of Fame's new members for 1986./John F.
