- Description
- This drawing depicts aspects and symbols of war and fascism. The central figure is a monumental skeleton in an enveloping black robe. Within his arms are a ship, a submarine and an airplane. To the right of the skeletal figure is a monumental figure of a soldier in uniform, holding a rifle in his right hand. In front of this figure is a sign that reads [Against War / and / Fascisim (sic)]. Next to the sign is a man speaking to a crowd of people. He stands with his back to the viewer, right hand raised in the air. In the bottom right corner is a larger scene of a woman embracing two young children. A man stands behind her, left arm around the woman, right arm raised in the air and ending in a fist. Behind the man are two monumental fists raised in the air. In the top and bottom margins are studies of angular men's heads, with the word [Fascisim] along the bottom margin.
