- Description
- An oil on canvas painting of a woman's face by Eldzier Cortor. Depicted primarily on the left of the canvas, is a woman with voluminous dark hair. Her proper right hand rests against her cheek, and a bright round earring is in her proper left ear. Her entire visage is set against thick bursts of yellow, gold and blue. The artist’s signature is painted [E. Cortor] in the bottom right corner of the canvas. The back of the wooden frame features blue tape and two paper tags, the first tag, orange and centered at the top middle, reads: [E. CORTOR / CLASSICAL STUDY #30 / OIL]. The second tag, a white sticker with red swirl patterns, reads: [“Classical Study No. 30” / Oil / Eldzier Cortor].
