Description
A printing plate of Elaine Sherrill used by the Chicago Defender. The plate features Sherrill from the waist up. Her body faces the proper right side of the plate, and her head is turned towards the camera looking towards the proper left side of the plate. She is wearing a dark colored top, earrings, and her hair is done in the style of victory rolls. The back of the plate has an inscription that reads [Elaine Sherrill / Woman's].
