- Description
- A printing plate used by the Chicago Defender. The image on the plate depicts two unidentified men standing next to one another. The man on the right side of the image is wearing a suit with a polka dot bow tie. He is looking to the man on the left side of the image and has his proper left hand extended towards the man on the left. The man on the right shakes hands with the man on the left and is wearing a suit with a tie. The top right side of the plate has deterioration. There are red marking throughout the front of the plate. The back of the plate has the logo of the engravers metal company and some inscriptions, written in black ink, that are illegible.
