- Description
- A printing plate of Harry B. Deas and James E. McSweeney. The two men are raising their hands, as Secretary of the Chicago Police Department McSweeney (right) administers the oath of office to Deas (left) as he becomes a Captain in the Chicago Police Department. Deas wears his uniform with metal buttons and a badge in the shape of a star. McSweeney wears a suit and tie. The back of the printing plate has an inscription written in black marker that reads [CAPT. HARRY / B. DEAS / A].
