- Description
- Muster roll for Company K of the 24th Infantry Regiment, one of the four "Buffalo Soldier" regiments in the United States Army. Company K was stationed at the Ringgold Barracks in Texas under the the command of Colonel Abner Doubleday, who name is noted in the header of the muster roll. For each soldier, this muster roll shows his enlistment date and place, detailed pay information, and signature or mark. Comments are also noted for many of the soldiers. It was signed by Captain James N. Morgan and several enlisted men, the remainder signing by mark.
