- Issue #27 report on the trial of twenty-one Black Panthers with illustrated cover. Transcription of cover reads, "The New York 21 — 19 men and 2 women of the Black Panther Party were arrested in a pre-dawn raid on April 2, 1969 and indicted on charges of plotting to kill police officers and blow up several sites, including Midtown stores, police precinct houses and the New York Botanical Garden. On May 13, 1971, after the longest political trial in New York's history, all 21 New York Panthers are acquitted of all charges after just 45 minutes of jury deliberation."
