The image on the postcard is of Pullman Porter, Omer Ester, in his full porter uniform, including Pullman Porter cap. Standing next to him is an unidentified African American woman wearing what appears to be a velvet full length coat with fur trim on the collar and sleeves. She is wearing a 1920s style woman's hat and holding a handbag in her right hand. They are in a photography studio standing in front of a painted backdrop with an oriental-style carpet under their feet.
