- Full color chromolithographic print titled THE DARKTOWN HOOK AND LADDER CORPS. The racist caricature depicts eight firemen. Four of the firemen are on a horse drawn wagon. The other four firemen are running next to the wagon. Two children are in the lower left corner waving to the firemen. Another man is running after the wagon. Copyright information, the publisher and the title are printed in black ink under the image. Printed on the bottom left corner is “CURRIER & IVES SERIES, No. 7.” Printed below the title is “Going to the Front.”
