- A black and white photographic portrait of Erskine Hawkins in a striped suit. He is holding a trumpet in his right hand with his left hand resting on top of his right. He is sitting down smiling directly into the camera with his shadow casts in the background. In the bottom border of the photo, it says "Erskine Hawkins/ And His Orchestra" In the middle of the border, there is a small tear. To the right of the tear in the bottom left hand corner it reads "Bluebird/ Recording Artists". There are no inscriptions front or back.
