- Description
- An IAAF bronze medal with attached ribbon. The medal has words and images appearing in relief on both the obverse and reverse. The obverse features a central image of the Earth with a three partitioned track radiating around it and outward. Above the globe are the words [4. IAAF / LEICHTATHLETIK- / WELTMEISTERSCHAFTEN] while below are the words [STUTTGART / 13.-22. AUG. 1993]. The reverse of the medal features a large coliseum in front of several buildings (all notable landmarks in Stuttgart - see NOTES). There is a raised triangular space below the coliseum into which is engraved [CARL LEWIS / 200 m / 19.99]. A yellow, red, and black ribbon is attached by chain link to the top of the medal.
