- Description
- These trousers are part of a suit worn by Sherman Hemsley as the character George Jefferson on the television show "The Jeffersons." The rust colored trousers have a tab-front one (1) button closure with a brown plastic button, a zipper fly, and a hidden internal hook-and-eye closure. The trousers have a flat front, with two (2) slant pockets. They are straight-legged, ending in a slight flare, with a strong center crease down the front and back of the legs. The waistband has six (6) belt loops, two in front, two in the center back, and one at each hip. There are two (2) darts at the back waistline, but no back pockets.
- The interior of the trousers, the waistband, interior pocket edges, and crotch are lined with a stiff cream fabric edged with yellow trim. The front panel of the trousers is lined with a white fabric reaching just below the knees. The back panel of the trousers is unlined. The trousers do not have a manufacturer's label, and the trouser measurements are hand-written on the inside of the waistband at the proper left front side and the proper right back side.
