- Description
- Postcard from a Grand United Order of Odd Fellows convention in Baltimore. The front of the postcard has an all seeing eye, a sun, stars and moon above a triple link chain and two pillars on a checkered floor. Printed text on the front of the post card reads “1843 B.M.C 1910 / G. U. O. of O. F. / OF THE WORLD / CONVENTION / Baltimore, Md. Sept. 13 to 17th / OH YOU ODD FELLOW.” A handwritten message on the back of the postcard reads “Having Big Time / Greatest Convention / Ever Known / Every Thing ‘[illegible]ly’ / and there [illegible] of / Pretty girls / and thousands of / Hearts Oddfellow / Hail [illegible] / [illegible].” Also written on the back is “George. Ware. / Sewickley. Pa / School at / Edgeworth.”
