Description
The 1968 SNCC engagement calendar is held together by a plastic binding comb at its spine, which is aligned with the left edges of the gathered pages. The binding comb spine is broken between the fifth and sixth rings and between the tenth and eleventh rings. Counting from the top, the first two rings as well as the sixth and ninth have significant loss and do not fully thread through all of the pages. The front cover, which is the title page in place of the missing front cover, is white in color but browned slightly with age and with some water staining and rust marks diagonally placed across the top right quadrant. Large black text aligned with the left side of the cover and slightly above the center point reads: [1968/SNCC/Engagement/Calendar]. Aligned with the right side of the cover but below the center point is the smaller black text: [With photographs/from the files/of/SNCC Photo]. In the bottom left corner is a line of small black text which reads: [(c) 1968 by Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee].
