- Description
- The Black Scholar journal, volume 4, number 2 from October 1972 with a black and white illustration on the cover of prisoners rioting. The illustration is in the upper three-quarters of the cover. In the image, a man stands left of center, seen in profile with his PR side facing the viewer. Surrounding him in the foreground are seated men with fists raised. In the background in the middle and upper right is a crowd of people with arms raised. Also in the background in the upper left quadrant diagonally disappearing into the distance is a brick facade with windows. At the bottom of the image is a black band with white text [BLACK PRISONER (II)]. Above the image, at the top of the front cover in black text is the publication title [THEBLACKSCHOLAR]. In the upper right corner, above the title is the price [$1.25]. On the lower fourth of the front cover are two (2) columns of text. The column on the left reads [FEATURING ARTICLES BY:/MUHAMMAD AHMAD/RON KARENGA/JOHNNY SPAIN]. The column on the right reads [MUHAMMAD AHMAD/MARK ALLEN/MARTIN C. JONES/MARTIN H.
