- Description
- Altar covers of burgundy velvet with gold fringe in two pieces, (a) drapes over the altar and (b) fits over the lid of the kit case.
- (a): A rectangular altar cover that drapes over the platform of the chaplain's kit case. The front is made of burgundy cut velvet acrylic and the back is made of burgundy twill acrylic fabric. Rayon fringe in burgundy and gold is sewn along the bottom edge of the cover.
- (b): A rectangular altar cover that fits over the lid of the chaplain's kit case when it is open. The front and top of the cover are made of burgundy cut velvet acrylic which wraps around to the back, with the majority of the back portion made from burgundy twill acrylic fabric. Rayon fringe in burgundy and gold is sewn along the seam where the front and top parts of the burgundy velvet are attached. The bottom portion of the cover is open so it can be slipped over the lid, with the edges turned and hemmed. The inside of the cover is not lined.
