The underside of the short brim is faced with the black velvet. The crown and brim are formed with buckram, with wire sewn around the edge of the brim between the velvet facings. The interior of the crown is lined with black synthetic fabric with a woven diamond pattern. There is an interior hat band made from black grosgrain ribbon.
