- Description
- Scrap quilt in bow tie or spool repeating blocks separated by red sashing and yellow posts. The top consists of machine pieced blocks featuring several different printed and woven fabrics, mostly cottons, in various colors and designs. The solid red sashing and solid yellow posts are the same throughout, except for one horizontal row of sashing and two vertical pieces of sashing near one end that is made from a mostly white fabric with faint printed geometric designs in blue, pink, and purple indicating it may be turned wrong side out. The quilt is backed with a pale green cotton fabric. The edges of the back and turned to the top to make the binding. The top, cotton batting, and back are attached with hand quilting in a scalloped design using white thread.
