- A hardcover book titled The Ku Klux Klan: A Study of the American Mind written by John Moffat Mecklin. The 240-page book has a black cover with gold lettering on the spine. The front cover has the initials of the publisher at center in gold lettering. The front free endpaper is signed “Sophia G. Berkowitz.” The book provides an account of the history of the Ku Klux Klan, founder Colonel William Simmons, and expansion into a nationwide white supremacist organization.
