- Description
- A black and white photograph of Cab Calloway performing on stage with his band. Calloway is pictured standing on the left side of the image, turned towards stage left and leaning forward to sing into a microphone, holding the tilted microphone stand in both hands. He wears a light colored suit and shoes. Behind him and to the right on a slightly raised platform are the band members, playing (from left to right) the piano, upright bass, trombone, and three saxophones, with the drummer behind them. All wear matching grey colored suits, dark colored bow ties and white pocket squares. They sit behind stands with three vertical stripes and [CC] in the upper left. The stage behind them has elaborate columns and decorative elements. The first few rows of the audience are visible in the bottom foreground of the image.
