- Description
- An albumen print cabinet card photograph of a young woman leaning on a chair. Standing against a solid studio backdrop, an unidentified woman wears a highly detailed ensemble of skirt and bodice. At the top of the bodice jacket she wears a bright scalloped hem collar, pinned at the neck by an image pendant. Her jacket features thin round buttons. There is a shining bracelet around her proper left wrist. Her skirt is narrow with pleats and gathers throughout, and she leans arms crossed on a cloth draped chair. At the bottom of the photograph, stamped in black ink, is: [KirklandCheyenne, Wyo]. There are various graphite inscriptions on the reverse of the cabinet photograph, to include the maker’s information stamp: [Kirkland / 294 Ferguson St, / Cheyenne, Wyo. / Negatives Preserved-Duplicates may be had at any / time. / Best stock of Picture Frames in the West.].
