- Description
- A Boudoir photograph of a Buffalo Soldier regiment escorting a stage-coach. Riding horses and carrying long guns, a company of Buffalo Soldiers ride alongside a stage-coach across a wide geography of short grass. There is a large body of water behind the soldiers at the upper left of the photograph. Large hills are captured in the upper right of the photograph.
- On the reverse of the photographic card are various graphite inscriptions and typed marks. One inscription, in the middle, reads: [GROUP OF NEGRO SOLDIERS & 2 OFFICERS ESCORTING A U. S. / STAGE COACH. MOST SOLDIERS ARE FULLY EQUIPPED INCLUDING / CARBINES.]. The marks at the bottom of the card, in black ink, read: [F.
