- A vinyl record (a) with printed album sleeve (b) of a live recording of a poetry performance by Don L. Lee (now Haki R. Madhubuti) at Wayne State University in Detroit published with the title Rappin' & Readin' by Broadside Voices in 1970. The cover [2010.42b] features a black and white photo of Madhubuti (Lee) in left profile from the neck up. He is looking down slightly and wearing a collared shirt. The title of the album appears in vertical white text on the left edge of the album cover. The bottom of the cover is printed in white text and reads [Don L. Lee]. The bottom left corner reads [BROADSIDE VOICES / LP BR - 1 / $5.00 / BROADSIDE PRESS / 12651 Old Mill Place / Detroit, Michigan 48238]. The back of the album cover is blank and undecorated. The album [2010.42a] is sleeved in plain undecorated paper. The album has a circular yellow sticker with black type detailing information about the album at its center. Side 1 is labeled as [Rappin'] and Side 2 is [Readin'].
