- Description
- A silver gelatin print depicting a black-and-white image of small girl seated on a bench. The girl is depicted sitting on a dark wooden bench, facing the viewer. She is looking towards the right edge of the image. Her arms are planted on either side of her on the surface of the bench. Her feet are dangling below, and her ankles are crossed. She is wearing a plain, white, short sleeve dress; white socks; and black, patent leather, Mary Jane shoes. There is an inscription in black ink in the upper right quadrant of the photograph, that reads, [always/ remember / won't you! / Elsie Higgins / forever to / be your / true friend]. White text printed in reverse in the top, left border reads, [EASTMAN—NITRATE—KODAK]. There are pencil scribbles on the back of the photograph.
