Description
A program for a show titled, "Cookie” An Evening with Charles Cook and Friends, performed at City College's Aaron Davis Hall, New York, in 1984. The program is constructed from a piece of green paper folded into a front and back cover with two (2) interior pages. The front cover has a black-and-white photocopied image of Charles Cook on the right side of the cover. He is depicted from the thighs up facing the viewer. He is wearing a medium toned suit, collared shirt, patterned tie, and a flat cap. He is facing the viewer and looking slightly towards the left edge of the program. His proper right arm is at his side and his proper left arm is bent at the elbow. At the top of the front cover, and to the left of Cook’s head, is the title of the show printed in two (2) fonts that read, ["Cookie" / An Evening / with / Charles Cook / and Friends]. On the left interior page is the program listed with the performers, the intermission, and credit to the National Endowment for the Arts, Aaron Davis Hall, and the Friends of the Davis Center. The right interior page lists the production credits, the cast, the band, and a special thanks to contributors. The back cover continues the special thanks to contributors and provides biographical information on Performer/Choreographer Charles Cook, Production Stage Manager Pepsi Bethel, and Production Manager Susan Goldbetter.
