Description
A certificate of appreciation given to Maxine Sullivan by the United States Coast Guard. The certificate features the logo of the U.S. Coast Guard Training Station at Manhattan Beach, New York. Under the logo, Red and black writing, printed in ink, reads: [In Appreciation / Maxine Sullivan / has given invaluable service in / maintaining the morale of our / men and thereby merits our / our fullest commendation]. A tear at the bottom has cut off part of the certificate. An illegible, handwritten signature is in the lower right corner. The certificate has numerous tears along the edges. The back of the certificate is blank.
