The woman on the left (Eunice Cook) is wearing a dress with a satin sash around the middle, flower buttons, and a flower brooch at her left shoulder. The woman on the right (Mary McLeod Bethune) has white hair and is wearing a striped skirt suit. They appear to be standing in front of a fireplace with a mirror over the mantel. A house plant is visible on the right edge of the image.
