- Description
- A color print based on Samella Sanders Lewis's original oil painting depicting a mother and child. In a yellow dress, the mother stands next to her adolescent child, who is seated at a table reading a book. Using a foreshortenened perspective, the mother's hand holds a coffee cup on a saucer in the foreground.
- Handwritten in graphite beneath the image is the edition: [HC 1/5], title [Stimulant-2], and artist's signature and date [SLewis '07]. The printmaker's chop mark is on the verso in the lower right corner.
