Description
A copy of "The Centaur" newsletter by the Iota Phi Theta Fraternity. The newsletter is printed on yellow paper with brown type. The header of the front page reads [THE CENTAUR/Vol. 3 No. 3 IOTA PHI THETA FRATERNITY February, 1976] with two depictions of the mythical centaur creature holding a bow and arrow towards the left (one on either side of the title) and five (5) 5-point filled-in stars centered underneath the title. Each page's text and images are bordered with tile-like patterning. Twelve (12) pages total, front and back cover included, front and back of each page. First four (4) pages (including cover) have articles with associated images, including "View from the Top" by Thomas Dean, "The 1975 Iota Phi Theta "Boston Connection"," and "The History Workshop" by Peter Johnson, including others. Pages 5 to 11 include mostly pictures, some in collage formatting, from various events, including "Tribute to Black Music Companies," and "The Awards Cabaret," among others. The back cover has a sketched depiction of the Iota Phi Theta crest, bordered by the same tile-like bordering, with text underneath, reading [The CENTAUR is published quarterly by Iota/Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc., Baltimore Md. to keep/members abreast of Fraternity news./Address all manuscripts, letters, comments,/complaints, etc. to:/The Editor/The Centaur Newsletter/P.O. Box 445/Baltimore, Md. 21203], all in brown type. Whole newsletter is bound by two silver staples.
