- Georgia Rivers Upper Satilla River. –Description from photographer, David Soliday.
- Description
- A digital aerial photograph of a confluence along the upper Satilla River. The Satilla can be seen in the bottom left corner an diverges into two tributaries. Waverly Creek, which can be seen on the right, disappears under the overgrowth close to the image’s top right corner. The other tributary continues on the image’s left side, almost in a straight line, flowing under bridges for the Georgia Coastal Rail Trail and Ocean Highway. Taller, greener trees stand out along the image’s periphery in contrast to the brown grasslands that occupy Clarks Island in the middle of the image. Vestigial canals are also visible on Clarks Island, albeit fading.
