An old Rice Trunk along Cuckolds Creek controlling water levels within the fields of Myrtle Grove Plantation, White Hall, SC.–Description from photographer, David Soliday.
Description
A digital scan of a photograph depicting a rice trunk along a section of Cuckolds Creek flowing through Myrtle Grove Plantation in White Hall, South Carolina. Ripples can be seen in the blackish-brown water that occupies much of the photograph’s foreground, while tall, brown grass is visible on either riverbank. The rice trunk itself occupies the middle of the image. Behind the trunk, several trees of various shades of green can be seen in the background; they stand out in stark contrast to the blueish white sky above.
